Watery Wednesday: Theseus slaying a Minotaur

The Archibald Fountain is located in Hyde Park in the centre of Sydney.  Theseus is one of the classical figures and represents sacrifice for the good of humanity.  Rain was teeming down when this photo was taken and the water on the bronze made it shine.

Welcome to Watery Wednesday.  This photo was taken in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.  We were staying in a wonderful guest house and the fountain was hidden away in the gardens.

Watery Wednesday: Coogee Beach

I still have 5 minutes of Wednesday left to do a Watery Wednesday posting.  I'm cutting it a bit fine today.



The weather has been lousy for taking photos over the last two weeks but I went to Coogee Beach to try my luck.  It was too grey and overcast to get anything spectacular but I liked this shot of a wave breaking over the edge of the ocean pool.

Watery Wednesday: Circular Quay, Sydney

So many of my photographs feature water it was only a matter of time before I posted onto Watery Wednesday. 

At Circular Quay in Sydney you will find a series of fountains depicting the Australian bushlife around waterways.  I must have walked past them hundreds of times when I worked in the city without really stopping to take a look. I like how a camera makes me slow down.
